The Royal Wedding Commemorative Sword

For centuries swords have been presented to honour and to mark momentous occasions and the tradition continues to this day. 

The design of this sword was inspired by the traditional English court sword. 

The blade is single edged, highly polished and plated and permanently etched with "To Celebrate the Marriage of HRH Prince William of Wales and Catherine Middleton  29^th April 2011". 

The hilt which is silver plated, features a ribbon knuckle bow and bell shaped pommel, the grip is covered in blue leather bound with silver wire and the heart shaped shell guard is inscribed with their initials CW. 

The sword measures 30" (762mm) overall and is presented in a blue presentation box with white satin lining.
